Tinkie Harness Versus Step-In Harness
Although both Susan Lanci harness styles provide lightweight no-choke comfort, they fasten differently:
- Tinkie Harness: Uses adjustable hook-and-loop closures at the neck and underbelly. Your dog does not need to step through leg openings.
- Step-In Harness: Your dog’s front legs pass through the harness openings before the buckle and two D-rings are secured above the shoulders.
The Tinkie is an excellent option for dogs who dislike stepping into a harness or need greater flexibility around the neck and chest.

Tiffi’s Gift Tinkie Dog Harness Size Guide
Measure around the widest part of your dog’s chest directly behind the front legs. Use a flexible measuring tape and keep it comfortably snug without pulling it tightly.
- Teacup: 6–8 inches
- XX-Small: 8–10 inches
- X-Small: 10–12 inches
- Small: 12–14 inches
- Medium: 14–16 inches
- Large: 15–17 inches
- X-Large: 17–20 inches
Choose the size containing your dog’s actual chest measurement. Do not select a size based only on breed or weight because dogs with similar weights can have very different body shapes.

How to Put On the Tinkie Harness
Open the hook-and-loop closures before placing the harness on your dog.
Position the harness comfortably across the chest and fasten the neck and underbelly closures. Check that the harness feels secure but does not restrict breathing, shoulder movement or walking.
Attach the leash to the D-ring on the back of the harness. Check all closures and hardware before every walk.
Walking Safety
Inspect the hook-and-loop closures, stitching, D-ring and decorative embellishments regularly. Discontinue use if any part of the harness becomes damaged or excessively worn.
The harness should fit securely without rubbing or restricting your dog’s natural movement. Never leave your dog unattended while wearing embellished apparel or accessories.

Care Instructions
Place the harness inside a lingerie bag before washing. Machine wash in cool water using a mild soap or detergent.
Do not use bleach or fabric softener. Air dry or tumble dry using low or no heat.
Proper care will help preserve the softness and color of the Ultrasuede®, the shape of the white bow and the brilliance of the crystal embellishments.
